Four targeted as OIA riflery players of year

Leilehua High School leads the Oahu Interscholastic Association air riflery all-stars with two players of the year. They are Todd Gallagher and Melissa Maxwell, who earned their honors in the Western Division.

Top honors in the Eastern Division went to Roosevelt's Shaun Myer and McKinley's Amy Chock.

The all-star selections were made by the league coaches.

Players share top ILH hoops honor

Mid-Pacific's Aukai Cushnie and Hawaii Baptist Academy's Matt Wingfield have been named co-players of the year in Interscholastic League of Honolulu Division II basketball.

Kyle Johnson, who coached Hawaii Baptist to the Division II title, was named coach of the year.

Otake named ILH wrestler
of the year

Iolani senior Loren Otake has been named the Interscholastic League of Honolulu's wrestler of the year.

The 125-pounder won both the ILH and Hawaii High School Athletic Association championships. Otake finished the season with a 35-6 record.
