Honolulu's Michelle Wie shot a second-round 76 today at the Women's British Open at Royal Lytham & St.Annes Golf Club and will play through to the weekend.

Wie's two-day total of 5-over 149 left her in a tie for 25th as she tumble 18 spots down the leaderboard from her opening 18 holes. The 19-year-old enters tomorrow's third round eight shots off the pace of Catriona Matthew (67) and Giulia Sergas (67), who are tied for third at 3-under 141.

The Punahou School graduate opened with a 2-over 37 on the front with three bogeys and a lone birdie at the par-5 sixth. Wie had one birdie, one bogey and a double bogey at the last for a 2-over 39 on the closing nine. Wie's one birdie coming in was at the par-4 14th.

She hit only seven fairways and 11 greens in regulation. The Stanford University sophomore needed 32 putts and through 36 holes is averaging only 224.5 yards off the tee.
