Gerard Fryer with the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center says it looks like Hawaii “;dodged a bullet.”;

Although Fyer said it was at least an hour before he could cancel the tsunami warning, it appears the worst has passed.

“;We clearly had a tsunami in the water and we had to evacuate,”; Fryer said. 

But, he said the first tsunami wave has passed through the Hawaiian islands.

“;I think we dodged a bullet, we will not call off the warning for at least an hour,”; he said.

“;Lets keep our fingers crossed.
