The Honolulu Board of Water Supply asks all Oahu residents to conserve water.

The BWS needs to fill its reservoirs in anticipation of the tsunami and therefore needs residents to keep water use to an absolute minimum.

If residents need to store water for their emergency kits, residents are encouraged to do so now, officials said.

After 10:00 a.m., residents are asked to use water from the tap for essential uses only—drinking, cooking and sanitation purposes.
