How to donate to disaster relief

Here are some ways to donate to various disaster relief efforts:

>> All disasters:

American Red Cross: Send contributions to Hawaii State Chapter, 4155 Diamond Head Road, Honolulu 96816, or to American Red Cross, P.O. Box 37243, Washington, D.C., 20013. Call (800) 733-2767. Online at http://www.redcross.org

 

>> Samoa donations 

Bank of Hawaii: Checks made out to Bank of Hawaii American Samoa Relief Fund and can be left at any of the bank's branches.

American Samoa government: Office of the American Samoa Governor, 1427 Dillingham Blvd., Suite 210. All items are welcomed, including can food, bottle water and rice.

 

>> Philippines storm relief

 Filipino Community Center: Send donations to FilCom Center, Suite 302, 94-428 Mokuola St., Waipahu 96797. FilCom Center officials ask donors not to mail cash; any donations in cash may be made in person at the center. Other collection sites include:  Don Quijote Supermarket, Waipahu; Kamehameha Shopping Center, Kalihi; Longs, Downtown on Bishop Street and in Wahiawa; Kapolei Shopping Center; Ewa Beach Shopping Center;  Wal-Mart in Mililani and Pearl City; Kmart, Salt Lake; Philippine Consulate General, Pali Highway.
