Four Navy ships—the frigate USS Crommelin and destroyers USS O'Kane, USS Chafee and USS Chung Hoon—were headed out to sea to ride out the tsunami.

The Navy is also evacuating the Hospital Point Housing complex, which is in an inundation zone.

The Ford Island Bridge is closed, but Ford Island was not evacuated. The USS Arizona Memorial is closed today as is the USS Missouri visitor.
