“;Hawaii Five-0,”; the iconic TV show shot on Oahu nearly a quarter of a century ago, is returning.

Hollywood industry trade publications are reporting today that the new version of the show will be on the upcoming lineup of new shows debuting in the fall. CBS is scheduled to make the lineup known on Wednesday.

Variety and the Hollywood Reporter reported that “;Five-0”; will be one of three new dramas that will be part of CBS' fall schedule. (Coincidentally, Tom Selleck of “;Magnum P.I.”; fame will also star in one of those new dramas, a cop show set in New York City titled “;Blue Bloods.”;)

The pilot episode for the rebooted “;Five-0”; was shot on Oahu in early March. The actors include former “;Lost”; cast member Daniel Dae Kim, Alex O'Loughlin in the role of Steve McGarrett, Jean Smart, Grace Park, Scott Caan and Taryn Manning.

Behind-the-scenes talent includes Peter Lenkov of “;CSI: NY”; and the writing duo of Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci of Fox's “;Fringe”; and the Star Trek and Transformers movies.

“;It was obvious for the get-go that the network handled this as a valuable property,”; said Honolulu Film Office commissioner Walea Constantinau. “;Although there is no shooting schedule yet, I'm sure we'll be talking with the show's producers about it almost immediately.”;

Constantinau said that production on 'Five-0' could start this summer.
