Softball classic nears

The fifth annual New City Nissan Goodwill Softball Classic will be held May 30-31 at Patsy Mink Central Oahu Regional Park.

The tourney, organized by John Uekawa, features the top high school seniors.

“;Everything is to give back to the young ladies,”; said Uekawa, who is head coach at Maryknoll.

The date is a week later than usual.

“;We moved it back to accommodate earlier graduations of OIA high schools,”; he noted.
