Police searching for bank robber

Honolulu police are looking for a man who robbed the Central Pacific Bank at 1338 S. Beretania St. yesterday.

At 12:39 p.m. the suspect — his head covered by the hood of a hoodie — approached the teller and demanded money, police said. He fled on foot toward Kinau Street. The suspect was described as being 30 to 40 years old, 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.

Detectives seek man for questioning

Big Island detectives are looking for a 22-year-old man wanted for questioning in connection with a stolen vehicle.

Police said Julian Richard Benevides is also wanted in connection with an abuse investigation and has an outstanding no-bail probation warrant. Benevides is described as 5 feet 11 inches tall, weighing 170 pounds, with a medium build, black hair and brown eyes.
