A 24-year-old Waipahu woman was charged with attempted murder for allegedly firing multiple shots at a group of people in Whitmore Village Saturday.

Grace L. Tagaolo-Savea is scheduled to appear in Honolulu District Court this morning.

Additionally, a bench warrant had been issued for her arrest since she failed to appear in court March 29.

Tagaolo-Savea is a felon with a history of violent crimes. She was convicted in 2007 of second-degree assault and was resentenced to five years' probation March 29. She was also convicted of third-degree assault in 2009.

Prosecutors charged Tagaolo-Savea with first-degree attempted murder, five counts of second-degree attempted murder, a firearms violation, being a felon in possession of a firearm, five counts of use of a firearm in a felony, first-degree terroristic threatening and auto theft. Her bail was set at $250,000.

Police said Tagaolo-Savea fired multiple shots in the direction of people at about 12:30 p.m. Saturday at 1472 Kanikani Place. Tagaolo-Savea then allegedly tried to flee in a truck owned by one of the victims, but the truck stalled after a few feet, according to a police affidavit filed in court.

She then jumped into a car being driven by her boyfriend, Robert Souza Jr., who stopped the car near Aheahe Avenue and Kanikani Place, where Tagaolo-Savea allegedly fired more shots toward the victims.

Souza was arrested and charged with first-degree hindering prosecution for helping his girlfriend flee the scene. His bail was set at $50,000.

A police officer contacted Tagaolo-Savea, and she met with police and was arrested Saturday night.

Tagaolo-Savea was featured on a “;Dog the Bounty Hunter”; episode in September for failure to appear, resisting arrest and probation violation, according to tv.com.
