Humane Society helps renters with pets

QUESTION: We just moved to Hawaii and can't find many places to rent that allow pets. Any suggestions?

ANSWER: Moving-related issues are among the most common reasons for pet relinquishment. No family should have to choose between keeping its pet or a roof overhead. Craigslist and http://www.hawaiianhumane.org offer a listing of pet-friendly rentals. The Humane Society also offers several resources to help pet owners appeal to landlords who don't typically rent to people with pets. Call 356-2247 for more information.
