Audra Stevenson and Aubrey Hawk have dreamed up a Safari Champagne Tea PaHTY & Children's Fashion Show to benefit the Honolulu Theatre for Youth. (Note the way they shamelessly spell PaHTY to plug HTY.) The event will be held April 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. at the Hawaii Prince Hotel. The safari-themed program will evoke the exotic setting in “;Just So Stories,”; HTY's spring production. This is a fun event with guests invited to attend in costume as “;The Hunter”; (khaki couture) or “;The Hunted”; (animal prints). Guests' children will take part in a parade of ferocious local wildlife—make that a fashion show—directed by Audra and supported by the ADR Agency. It's a retail jungle out there, Aubrey says, and the fashion show will feature the latest styles from an all-local lineup of clothiers including BECCA Beach Kahala, the Blue Buddha, Crazy Shirts, Hawaiian Moon, Jams World, Roxy/Quiksilver and Therapy Boutique, and more. Thirsts will be quelled by champagne cocktails or by an English Safari High Tea with those fancy sandwiches. Tickets start at $175 each. RSVP deadline is March 19. For tickets and info, including how you can get your kid in the fashion show, call Carolyn Kishi at HTY, 839-9885, ext. 711 ...
