Police arrest alleged bra-snatcher

Honolulu police arrested a 19-year-old Makiki man on suspicion of burglary and drug possession yesterday after he allegedly climbed onto the balcony of a Waikiki hotel condo and stole two bras from another guest's room.

Police said hotel security was called to the man's room to investigate noise complaints at 10 a.m.

When they entered the room, they found the man asleep with drugs and drug paraphernalia.

Police said the bras were determined to have been taken from the room next door. The man apparently climbed from his balcony to the balcony of the room next door and entered the room through an unlocked lanai door.

The man, already in custody at the Oahu Community Correctional Center, was arrested on suspicion of nine counts of unauthorized control of personal and confidential information.

Police found the information when they arrested him on suspicion of two counts of unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. The information was stolen in December. Police said the victims included six women and three men.
