The Hawaii Community Development Authority is holding public meetings later this month to discuss the future of the Kakaako waterfront area.

The HCDA wants input for the master plan for the Kakaako Makai district, which stretches from Kewalo Basin to Ala Moana, and from South Street to the edge of Ala Moana Beach Park.

Workshops begin Jan. 30 with a community discussion from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., continue Jan. 31 with a site tour and vision-planning from 1 to 5:30 p.m. and conclude Feb. 1 with a presentation and reception from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The workshops will be held at the John A. Burns School of Medicine's Kulia Grill. More information is available at www.hcdaweb.org.
