Zhang new Narcissus Queen

CONGRATS TO KGMB account executive Angie Zhang, who was named 2010 Narcissus Queen last weekend. The 25-year-old was crowned Saturday at the Hawaii Theatre.

Zhang, who was born in China, is the daughter of Jianguo Zhang and Zhangwen Yan and a graduate of Kaimuki High School. Along with her court—princesses Selena Qiu, Megan Chun, Karen Chang and Bonnie Von—she will be officially crowned by Gov. Linda Lingle on Jan. 30 at the Hilton Hawaiian Village. In addition to winning the top prize, Zhang was also named Miss Talent. Von was voted Miss Congeniality; contestant Erica Kao was named Miss Popularity ...

CONCERT NEWS: Tom Moffatt announced last week that the Beach Boys will play the Blaisdell Arena on Feb. 13. Tickets, priced at $45 and $55, go on sale tomorrow; the band continues to tour in support of their 2007 greatest-hits collection, “;The Warmth of the Sun”; ... $25 general admission and $50 VIP tickets are already on sale for the Hawaii debut of Mayer Hawthorne on Feb. 24 at Pipeline Cafe. The venue formerly known as Grumpy's and Bliss Nightclub has been reborn as Blue Ocean Ultralounge and debuts a new party tonight. “;BPM”; will feature two floors of entertainment with live video mixing and a 23-and-over clientele.
