Dejah Fa'asoa and Leti Mikaele had 10 points each to help visiting Kaimuki escape the North Shore with a thrilling 40-38 victory over Kahuku last night in an Oahu Interscholastic Association White Conference girls basketball game.

With less than a minute left, Fia Tailele-Latu drained a 3-pointer to bring the Red Raiders within two points. Kahuku had a chance to win after forcing a turnover, but the Red Raiders missed a shot at the buzzer to lose their first league game.
