Hawaii Pacific forward Genesis Lewis was named the Pacific West Conference women's basketball player of the week yesterday.

Lewis, a senior, scored 14 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lead the Sea Warriors to a 70-35 nonconference win over UH-Hilo in HPU's lone game last week. She shot 53.8 percent from the field and also had four steals. She led the conference in rebounding and steals at week's end.
