BYUH beats Division I foe

Brigham Young-Hawaii scored a landmark 69-61 women's basketball victory over San Francisco yesterday in the final game of the Hukilau Invitational in Laie.

It was the first victory over a Division I opponent since BYUH added the sport to start the 2006-07 season.

Mahina Gago scored 23 points and added nine rebounds for the Seasiders (2-2). Rheina Ale led the Dons (3-7) with 18 points and Donnisha Taylor added 10 rebounds.

 

Na Koa club meets tomorrow

Na Koa Football Club will hold its weekly luncheon tomorrow at 11 a.m. at The Willows restaurant.

Hawaii football coach Greg McMackin or one of his assistants will be there to speak about yesterday's game against Wisconsin. Honolulu Quarterback Club members will be attending. The cost of the luncheon is $15 and the public is invited.
