The National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific at Punchbowl will allow visitors to place floral and potted plants and artificial plants at grave sites beginning Dec. 18.

All items will be removed Jan. 4, and any item placed prior to Dec. 18 will be removed, the Department of Veterans Affairs said in a news release.

Prohibited items include Christmas trees of all sizes, statues, vigil lights, glass objects and any commemorative items, including photographs or toys.
