Bathing cats not easy, but doable

QUESTION: Are there any tips for bathing a cat?

ANSWER: Cats are designed to meet their own hair-care needs, but if they do need a bath, here are a few things to do to ensure you're not more wet than your pets. Bathe cats when they are relaxed. Use a nonskid mat in the sink or tub to ensure they don't slip around as they're trying to get away from you. Lather up, avoiding face, eyes and ears, which really can test cats' patience. Rinse well and dry quickly. Do give them a treat when it's all over for being good sports.
