Helemano Farms in Whitmore Village, Wahiawa, will begin selling Norfolk pine Christmas trees Nov. 27, the day after Thanksgiving.

Helemano Farms said in a news release it is keeping prices the same for all trees up to 8 feet tall because of the economy. For example, a fresh 6-foot tree will still cost $40.

Residents are invited to walk around at the farm and choose from thousands of trees from 5 to 20 feet tall. Employees cut, wrap and load trees for customers at no cost.

Organizations may obtain advanced-sale Christmas tree tickets for fundraising.

The farm also has planted many special Leyland cypress trees, which it said sold out last year. They will be available for sale again for Christmas 2010.

The late agriculture executive Mike O'Brien began the family farm in 2002 as a retirement project, and his family continues to run it. It is open daily after Thanksgiving until Christmas.
