The Hawaii Foodbank's 16th annual Check-Out Hunger fundraising campaign to feed Hawaii's hungry during the holiday season is running through Jan. 11 at participating grocery stores.

To make a donation, shoppers should look for the bright green Check-Out Hunger tear-off coupons at check-out counters, a release said. Shoppers may donate $2.81 to feed a child breakfast for a week, $12.43 to feed a senior lunch for a month, or $16.84 to feed a family dinner for a week. The amount of the coupon will be added to the grocery bill and donated to Hawaii Foodbank.

As a partner, Kraft Foods in Hawaii presented the food bank with a $5,000 donation to kick off the program, which started Nov. 2.
