Shop and eat at Kaimuki Kanikapila

The Kaimuki Business and Professional Association and the City and County of Honolulu team up for the “;Celebrate Kaimuki Kanikapila”; tomorrow.

More than 160 booths will be set up at Kaimuki Community Park and along Waialae Avenue (between Koko Head and 11th avenues), with local vendors selling a variety of food, crafts and gift items. Live entertainment and a variety of prize giveaways throughout the day are also planned.

In addition, neighborhood groups will sell “;CKK Bucks,”; earning $1 for every $5 they sell. Visit www.celebratekaimuki.com for a list of participating organizations.

Explore your inner dancer at Nix workshops

Dancers of all ages and experience levels are invited to the Nix Performing Arts Center tomorrow for “;A Taste of Dance,”; a daylong event that aims to introduce participants to new dance styles.

Starting at 10 a.m. tomorrow, NIXPAC instructors will lead 60-minute workshops in hula, Tahitian, ballet/tap, hip-hop, popping and locking, jazz, salsa and breakdancing. Voice and acting lessons will be offered as well, and mothers are invited to bring their toddlers to take part in a “;Mommy and Me”; class.
