At the push of a button, the box brings its bearer instant wealth but also instantly kills someone the bearer doesn't know. Cameron Diaz, James Marsden and Frank Langella star in the latest film by Richard Kelly, the man behind the cult hit “;Donnie Darko.”; (PG-13)

”;Coco Before Chanel”;: Audrey Tautou stars in the story of Gabrielle “;Coco”; Chanel, who begins her life as a headstrong orphan and through an extraordinary journey becomes the legendary couturier who embodied the modern woman and became a tireless symbol of success, freedom and style. (PG-13)

”;Disney's A Christmas Carol”;: Jim Carrey is the voice of Ebenezer Scrooge in a new animated adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic holiday tale by Robert Zemeckis (”;The Polar Express,”; “;Beowulf”;). Gary Oldman, Bob Hoskins, Colin Firth and Robin Wright Penn round out the star voice cast. (PG)

”;The Fourth Kind”;: Milla Jovovich stars as a psychologist who discovers disturbing evidence of alien abductions in small-town Alaska. (PG-13)

”;The Men Who Stare at Goats”;: George Clooney and his longtime writing and producing partner Grant Heslov—they did 2005's Oscar-nominated drama “;Good Night, and Good Luck”;—team up for this dark comedy based on the nonfiction best-seller about a U.S. military unit that investigates telepathy and other psychic phenomena for use in combat. Clooney plays an alleged operative who teams up with a reporter (Ewan McGregor) to track down the program's missing founder (Jeff Bridges) while also dealing with an outlaw psychic (Kevin Spacey). (R)
