FOOTBALL

» Idaho junior linebacker Jojo Dickson (Baldwin '07) had six tackles, a sack, a fumble recovery and a pass breakup in the Vandals' 35-23 victory over Hawaii on Saturday. Sophomore Robert Siavii (Leilehua '08) had three tackles and Kama Bailey (Damien '08) had a 6-yard reception.

» Washington senior defensive end Daniel Teo-Nesheim (Hawaii Prep '05) had two sacks in a 24-17 loss to Arizona State on Saturday night.

» UCLA starting center Kai Maiava (Baldwin '07) and starting right guard Eddie Williams (Damien '06) helped hold California senior Tyson Alualu (Saint Louis '05) to just one assisted tackle in the Golden Bears' 45-26 win on Sunday. It was the fewest tackles Alualu has made in a game all season.

» Weber State quarterback Cameron Higgins (Saint Louis '06) was named the Big Sky offensive player of the week after going 23-for-30 for 290 yards and tied a career high with five touchdown passes in a 49-10 victory over Sacramento State. Higgins leads the FCS with 2,109 passing yards through seven games.

» Notre Dame freshman Manti Te'o (Punahou '09) tied for the team high with eight tackles in a 34-27 loss to Southern California on Saturday.

» Utah defensive end Nai Fotu (Kahuku '07) had four tackles and senior Kepa Gaison (Kamehameha '05) had two tackles in a 35-15 win over UNLV on Saturday.

Malo Taumua (Aiea '05) had four tackles for the Rebels.

» Colorado linebacker B.J. Beatty (Kahuku '06) had four tackles and a quarterback hurry in a 34-30 win over Kansas. Michael Sipili (Damien '06) was also credited with a QB hurry for the Buffaloes.

» Montana-Western quarterback Micah Mamiya (Saint Louis '08) finished 36-for-65 for 321 yards and a touchdown in a 40-30 loss to Eastern Oregon.

 

WOMEN'S VOLLEYBALL

» Colgate junior Logan Keala (Kamehameha '07) had a match-high 10 kills as the Raiders swept visiting Lafayette on Saturday. Colgate improved to 6-1 in the Patriot League.

» Linfield (Ore.) sophomore libero Samantha Lau (St. Francis '08) was recognized by the Northwest Conference as an honorable mention student-athlete of the week. Lau had a season-best 39 digs in a five-set win over Whitman (Wash.) and 26 digs in a four-set loss to Whitworth (Wash.).

» St. Mary's (Calif.) setter Kapua Kamana'o ('Iolani '07) had 20 assists and senior Megan Burton ('Iolani '06) and sophomore Chanteal Satele (Word of Life '08) had six kills apiece in a four-set loss to No. 23 San Diego on Saturday that snapped a five-game winning streak.

» Washington senior Tamari Miyashiro (Kalani '05) had a season-high 30 digs and three aces in a five-set victory over Southern California on Saturday.

» Southern Utah junior Jazmine Ma'afala (McKinley '07) had 14 kills and 14 digs and freshman Courtney Lelepali (Punahou '09) had 21 digs and three assists in a four-set victory over Western Illinois on Saturday.

Lelepali had 12 digs in a three-game loss to Utah Valley on Tuesday.

 

MEN'S GOLF

» Pacific (Ore.) junior Max Bonk (Hawaii Prep '07) earned runner-up honors at the Northwest Conference Fall Classic on Sunday in Portland, Ore. Bonk shot back-to-back rounds of 71 to finish the tournament at 2-under 142.

 

WOMEN'S GOLF

» Pacific (Ore.) senior Jasmine Ching (Waiakea '06) shot identical rounds of 88 in rainy conditions to finish in a tie for 18th place at the Northwest Conference Fall Clasic in Portland, Ore., on Sunday. Tami Park (Waikea '07) finished in 26th place with a two-round total of 186.

» UCLA sophomore Stephanie Kono (Punahou '08) shot a final round 3-under 69 and was one of four Bruins to finish in a tie for sixth place at the Stanford Intercollegiate on Sunday in Palo Alto, Calif.

» Cal State Northridge junior Ashlee Nagamine (La Pietra '07) won individual medalist honors at the Aztec Fall Classic in Chula Vista, Calif., last Tuesday. She shot a 2-over 146 and won in a sudden-death playoff.

 

WATER POLO

» Harvard senior Egen Atkinson ('Iolani '06) scored two goals in his final home match as the Crimson lost 18-10 to St. Francis (Pa.) on Sunday.
