Question: What is the consignment program at the Hawaiian Humane Society?

Answer: Consignment enables pet owners to place their pet for adoption. For a $100 fee ($150 for as many as 6 littermates under 6 months of age), the pet is evaluated for adoption eligibility, as well as spayed or neutered. At the end of 10 days, if the animal is not adopted, the owner can reclaim their pet. The fee assessed is supported by donations to cover the total costs for the care and sheltering of the animals.
