Show off your Wii skills in Kailua

Make the trip to the Windward side tomorrow for the third annual “;Cool Kailua Nights”; block party and health awareness fair.

Local comedian Andy Bumatai will host the event, which is a benefit for Castle Medical Center's chemotherapy unit and the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii's Windward Clubhouse. Other planned activities include Wii Fit gaming, massage stations, a dunking booth and live entertainment by Ilona Irvine, Audissey and Halau Hula O Nawahine.

In addition, the Hawaii Food Bank will be on hand to accept canned goods—bring a donation and receive a free treat from Meadow Gold.

Take chance on good time with Kaminaka

Take a journey into the creative mind of KK Kaminaka tomorrow, when he presents “;Perspectives: The Journey into the Mind of an Artist”; at his in-house performance space in Nuuanu.

Kaminaka's one-man show will include a variety of performance pieces, set to original musical compositions. Guests will also have an opportunity to try their luck at scoring discounted tickets—those who do not purchase in advance will be given a set of dice to roll, with the resulting number added to a base ticket price of $8.
