WHAT'S IN STORE

Halloween's around the corner

The Disney Store is giving little ones a head start on the fall holiday season with the arrival of its “;Halloween Bootique.”;

Browse racks full of frightfully fun costumes for every wannabe princess and Space Ranger, plus mini bean bag plush toys, Mickey Jack-O'-Lantern figurines and candy dishes. Costumes range from about $29.50 to $49.50.

Little princesses have a choice of dressing as Cinderella, Belle, Sleeping Beauty, Ariel, Mulan or Snow White, while boys can dress as “;Toy Story's”; Woody or Buzz Lightyear characters, to celebrate the pending release of “;Toy Story 3”; next year.

BEAUTY SPOT

Scent refreshes more than face

It's been a hot summer, and as long as the heat has you blotting the excess oil pouring out of your pores, why not enjoy the process.

Sephora makes the nuisance of extra shine easier to endure with the introduction of matte blotting papers ($8) that absorb excess oil while pleasing the senses with the light scents of lavender, tea tree oil or the citrusy aroma of vitamin C.

The thin, double-sided sheets won't mess up makeup or leave any powder residue, and the scent conveniently acts as a pick-me-up at times when brain and makeup are in need of resuscitation.
