The Honolulu Liquor Commission is looking at moving from its current Kapiolani Boulevard location to the site of the former T.G.I. Friday's Restaurant on Ward Avenue.

Administrator Dewey Kim said the city is in negotiations with the two property owners after narrowing the possibilities down to places near city government offices.

The lease at the current location, 711 Kapiolani Blvd., expires at the end of January. The commission has been at that location for about 10 years.

A move to the former T.G.I. Friday's location at 950 Ward Ave. would require several months of renovation.

Public parking would be available across the street at Neal Blaisdell Center.
