Step right up for hot malassadas!

The Hawaii Council on Portuguese Heritage and the Hawaii State Foundation on Culture and the Arts present “;Festa 2009,”; an annual celebration of Portuguese culture.

A variety of local entertainment will be on hand, headlined by notoriously Portuguese comedian Frank De Lima. In addition, a number of food booths will serve up tasty fare, including hot malassadas, Portuguese bean soup, codfish stew and Portuguese sausage hot dogs.

Volunteers will assist with genealogy searches and there will be other cultural displays, as well as prizes.
