1. Plenty of Hart

The Situation: Hawaii 0, Central Arkansas 0, 14:26 remaining, first quarter, Hawaii ball, first and 10 at Hawaii 22
The Play: On Hawaii's second play from scrimmage, DE Larry Hart knocks the ball out of QB Greg Alexander's hands and fellow DE Markell Carter recovers for Central Arkansas.
The Impact: The visitors score four plays later on the first of three touchdowns by RB Brent Grimes. Central Arkansas holds momentum most of the first half and a 14-9 lead at intermission as Hawaii turns over the ball three times.
Alexander: ”;The whole first half I guess I had my head up my (butt).”;

2. Going for it

The Situation: Central Arkansas 14, Hawaii 2, 6:41 remaining, second quarter, Central Arkansas ball, fourth and 3 at Hawaii 41
The Play: QB Robbie Park passes to RB Leonard Ceaser for 2 yards in the right flat. But Central Arkansas is short a yard, and turns the ball over on downs to Hawaii.
The Impact: Hawaii covers 61 yards in five plays, with Alexander finding SB Greg Salas on a 4-yard pass for Hawaii's first touchdown of the season.
Hawaii coach Greg McMackin: ”;I was happy with our (defensive) adjustments. Very tough adjustment I would've made with a professional football team.”;

3. Route 66

The Situation: Central Arkansas 20, Hawaii 19, 2:26 remaining, fourth quarter, Hawaii ball, first and 10 at Hawaii 26
The Play: Alexander scrambles and dumps off to Salas, who finds plenty of running room and takes it 66 yards to the Central Arkansas 8.
The Impact: The final turning point. Salas finishes with a career-high 180 yards on a game-high seven receptions.
Salas: ”;It was a play I was supposed to come across the middle, but I saw Greg get out of the pocket, so I broke my route off and went outside while he was scrambling.”;

4. First career TD

The Situation: Central Arkansas 20, Hawaii 19, around 1:22 remaining, fourth quarter, Hawaii ball, third and 8 at Central Arkansas 8.
The Play: Alexander finds WR Rodney Bradley in the back of the end zone for the game-deciding TD.
The Impact: It is the first Division I touchdown catch for Bradley, a junior college transfer who finishes with three catches for 42 yards in his UH debut. After Hawaii had taken a 19-14 advantage late in the third quarter, Central Arkansas came back with a 10-play, 86-yard TD drive to retake the lead with 10:00 left. But Hawaii had the final drive, with Salas' big play and Bradley's TD giving the home team the lead.
Bradley: ”;I beat him pretty good on the post and Greg put the ball in a good place.”;

5. Overturned

The Situation: Hawaii 25, Central Arkansas 20, 1:02 remaining, fourth quarter, Central Arkansas ball, second and 26 at Central Arkansas 10.
The Play: LB Corey Paredes strips the ball from Park, and FS Richard Torres picks up the loose ball and runs it into the end zone. The play was first ruled an incomplete pass, but after official review it was changed to a fumble and Hawaii took over at the 2, where Torres picked it up.
The Impact: Instead of two more desperation chances for Central Arkansas, Alexander takes a knee twice and Hawaii wins its opener.
McMackin: ”;I'm proud of how we finished. Not how we started, how we finished. We can build on that.”;
