» Course: TPC Boston (7,202 yards, par 71).
» Purse: $7.5 million. Winner's share: $1.35 million.
» Television: Golf Channel and NBC
» Last year: Vijay Singh won his second straight FedEx Cup event en route to the playoff title, closing with an 8-under 63 for a tournament-record 22-under 262 total. He also won the 2004 event at TPC Boston.
» Notes: The top 100 in the FedEx Cup standings advanced to the second playoff event. The field will be cut to 70 for the BMW Championship next week at Cog Hill in Lemont, Ill., and to 30 for the Tour Championship at East Lake in Atlanta. ... Singh is winless this year and has only three top-10 finishes in 20 starts.

Canadian Women's Open

» Course: Priddis Greens Golf & Country Club (6,445 yards, par 71).
» Purse: $2.75 million. Winner's share: $412,500.

» Last year: Australia's Katherine Hull won her first LPGA Tour title, taking advantage of Yani Tseng's final-round meltdown for a one-stroke victory at Ottawa Hunt. Hull, six strokes behind Tseng at the start of the round, beat Se Ri Pak by a stroke. Tseng shot a 77 to finish two strokes behind.
» Note: Michelle Wie tied for fourth at Pumpkin Ridge last week, shooting 68-71-66 to finish two strokes out of the playoff. Two weeks ago in the Solheim Cup, she led the winning U.S. team with a 3-0-1 record.

» Last year: Jeff Sluman won the second of his two 2008 victories, closing with a 67 for a five-stroke victory over Fuzzy Zoeller and Craig Stadler.
» Notes: O'Meara won the PGA Tour's Pebble Beach event a record five times, the last in 1997 when he shot four 67s for a tournament-record 268 total. He also won the 1979 California State Amateur at Pebble Beach. ... Tom Watson won the 1982 U.S. Open at Pebble Beach and also took the Bing Crosby National Pro-Am on the course in 1977 and 1978.
