St. Francis School's Sister Joan of Arc Souza is my kind of school principal. Sister Joan has been a dedicated UH football fan since childhood in Pauoa. She has once again bought a subscription to the pay-per-view telecasts of UH games and will project them on the wall of the campus student center. She invites the Franciscan sisters, faculty and staff to drink beer and pot luck with her and cheer for the Warriors. (No students, of course.) There will be a tailgate party on each game day. The nuns wear tees and sweatshirts with UH logos. Sister Mary Edward Sugioka, also known as “;Sister Eddie,”; has a UH football dress she wears. The Warriors open their season Friday against Central Arkansas at Aloha Stadium. Go Warriors! And go sisters!
