GI Bill is boon for veterans

The GI Bill for veterans is the best congressional act since WWII.

I for one benefited tremendously by the bill. After leaving Maui in 1946, I joined the military in 1948 and in 1950 went to Korea. After my discharge in 1952, I used the GI Bill, got my Bachelor of Science degree in Tokyo, and my Master of Arts degree from the University of Hawaii.

The U.S. government was good to the millions of veterans like me and I am forever grateful.
