» The University of Hawaii football team was known as the Deans and the Fighting Deans before being called the Rainbows. An answer to the 50 Years of Statehood question Tuesday on Page 7 indicated that UH team was originally called the Rainbows.

» A caption on Page 17 Wednesday indicated that KGMB would lose 68 positions in the shared services agreement between it and KHNL/KFVE-TV. Paul McTear, Raycom president and chief executive officer, declined to confirm any number and said that “;layoffs are possible at all three stations.”;

» The merger of KHNL and KGMB television stations might result in layoffs at both stations and at KHNL's sister station, KFVE. A headline on Page 1 Wednesday referred to layoffs only at KGMB.
