BEAUTY SPOT

Sunscreen now part of duo

Oh, what's the use of wearing any kind of foundation these days when the sun and attendant perspiration simply slough it away the minute you step out of your air-conditioned ride?

About the best I could do is dust some of Peter Thomas Roth's Instant Mineral SPF 30 across my face in the morning and call it makeup. The handy, portable brush container makes it easy to touch up throughout the day, whenever you feel your sun protection has disappeared. The talc-free formula won't clog pores, and the transparent matte mineral powder acts as a veil to block UVA/UVB and infrared rays.

Sephora is now offering the Instant Mineral SPF 30 as a set with Roth's Max Sheer All Day Moisture Defense Lotion SPF 30, an ultralight, greaseless hydrator that is rich with moisturizers. The two products are $48 when sold separately, but for a limited time are being offered together for $30, the cost of the sunscreen alone. — By Nadine Kam
