Question: If I give up my cat to the Hawaiian Humane Society, how long will you keep her?

Answer: We keep pets for as long as we possibly can; there is no policy that limits length of stay. It's not uncommon for an animal to be in residence for months. Giving up a beloved pet is heartbreaking for both the pet and owner. As long as a cat or dog is suitable for home and isn't sick or aggressive, we keep them until a new family is found.

Right now, there's a large variety of cats available for adoption. All cats of any age can be adopted for the $65 adoption fee.
