Pflueger Auto Group LLC is selling the former Schuman Carriage dealership at 1234 S. Beretania St. to an undisclosed buyer for an undisclosed sum, according to a notice filed with the state Department of Labor and Industrial Relations.

The transaction is expected to close July 27 and, according to the notice, all 58 employees will be terminated.

It was unclear if the new owner of the dealership, currently doing business as Pflueger Cadillac Hummer GMC Buick, will extend employment offers to displaced workers.

Pflueger officials could not be reached.

Pflueger, run by a kamaaina auto-dealing family, bought the dealership from Schuman Carriage in 2005, months after Schuman notified the state of its intention to close.

The first Schuman dealership in Hawaii opened in 1893, selling horse-drawn carriages.
