Dan Fisher remembers the madness, the sellouts in the arena, the hours of signing autographs ... even as a redshirt on the Hawaii men's volleyball team in the mid-1990s.

It's something Fisher hopes to see again as the Warriors' new associate head coach. He joins Mason Kuo on Charlie Wade's inaugural staff.

“;Professionally, it's a great opportunity,”; Fisher said yesterday. “;It's a program that can battle to win a national championship.

“;Personally, I'm excited to be back. It's where I met my wife (former Wahine soccer player Joni Abel).”;

Fisher transferred to Pacific in 1997, playing two seasons, and was an assistant for the UOP men's team for three seasons. He was an interim assistant for Wade on the UOP women's team and spent the last two years with the San Francisco women's team.
