Princeville Ranch adds zip line

Princeville Ranch Adventures added a new zip line, called the King Kong, to its course this month.

The new 1,200-foot zip line is the longest on Kauai and offers riders side-by-side racing.

The ranch offers zip-lining, hiking and kayaking tours on 2,500 acres of a working cattle ranch. Other recent improvements include upgrading restrooms, parking, tour picnic areas and the staff lounge.

 

Marine Corps to hold job fair

Marine Corps Community Services will stage a job fair that is open to the public from 9 a.m. to noon Friday in the Kahuna's Community Ballroom at Marine Corps Base Hawaii in Kaneohe.

Staged in conjunction with the Joint Employment Management System, the fair will feature opportunities on base and with about 40 companies and government agencies.

Applicants must be 18 or older and should bring multiple resumes. Children will not be permitted inside.

Credit union call centers honored

Four Hawaii credit unions have been honored by Florida-based PSCU Financial Services Inc. for call-center innovation.

Hawaiian Tel Federal Credit Union, University of Hawaii Federal Credit Union and Hawaii USA Federal Credit Union, and Kealakekua-based Hawaii Community Federal Credit Union received the Call Center Innovator award at PSCU's annual meeting in Las Vegas.

 

Pacific Office Properties aids nonprofits

Hawaii Meals on Wheels and the Hawaii Children's Cancer Foundation are among the nonprofit organizations that benefited from the first round of Pacific Office Properties' “;Pacific Cares”; program.

Each employee can direct up to $1,000 in company funds each year to up to four nonprofit organizations. The March disbursement contributed $36,000 to 66 groups.

 

Hunt Building ranks high on list

Hunt Building Co., which has a regional office in Honolulu, ranked third in Multifamily Executive magazine's 2008 “;Top 50 Builders”; list.

The affiliate of Texas-based Hunt Cos. Inc., also was ranked the 24th-largest owner of multifamily housing units.

The list is also published in Builder Magazine.
