Services set for soldier

Funeral services will be held next Friday for Staff Sgt. Randy Agno, a 1997 Pearl City High School graduate who died May 8 at a Washington, D.C., Army hospital where he was taken after being injured in Iraq.

Agno, who was on his third Iraq deployment, died at Walter Reed Army Medical Center after an April 27 noncombat incident at Forward Operating Base Olsen. He was assigned to 25th Infantry Division's 2nd Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team.

Visitation will be from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Good Counsel Church. A memorial service will follow. Burial will be at 1 p.m. at the Hawaii State Veterans Cemetery.

Agno, 29, is survived by wife Marvelyn, sons Jarren and Jensen, mother Fe Suyat, father Leoterio Agno and brother Melvin.
