A decision on one of eight finalists for the Hawaii women's basketball coaching job is likely to be made within a week.

Athletic director Jim Donovan and UH's five-person search committee are conducting in-person interviews with the finalists for the job.

“;We're in the process of winding down the interviews,”; Donovan said. “;I'm sitting in on the interviews. I'd be surprised if we didn't have somebody picked by the end of next week (June 5). Hopefully before then, but I'd be surprised if we didn't have somebody picked by then.”;

Idaho assistant coach Gavin Petersen, a known candidate, was seen in a suit yesterday at the UH athletics complex. George Wolfe, another former UH assistant under Vince Goo (a member of the search committee), is confirmed to be in the hunt.
