To save money, the state Board of Education will hold the rest of this year's meetings in Honolulu.

The school board voted Thursday to hold the next 13 meetings in the Queen Liliuokalani Building at 1390 Miller St.

The decision to no longer hold general business meetings on the neighbor islands for the rest of the year was attributed to budget concerns. The board will continue to visit the neighbor islands during community meetings.
