Two new faculty members will help expand tobacco and addiction research at the Cancer Research Center of Hawaii's Prevention and Control Program, the center announced. They are Dr. Thaddeus A. Herzog, formerly with West Virginia University's Department of Community Medicine, and Dr. Thomas Ashby Wills, from New York's Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Department of Epidemiology and Population Health.

Dr. Kalani Brady, University of Hawaii at Manoa associate professor of medicine, has been appointed interim chairman of the Department of Native Hawaiian Health, John A. Burns School of Medicine.

Brady has just started a four-year term as Hawaii governor of the American College of Physicians and serves on the board of directors of the National Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.
