Teens given chance to party in safety

Give your teen a chance to party like a rock star this weekend without the risk of sending them unsupervised to a local nightclub.

Scorpion Management and Marketing presents “;Rafael's Teen Dance Club”; from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday at Dave & Buster's. This is the fourth party produced by the company, which aims to provide a safe place for kids 13 to 17 to have fun with their peers.

Cover is $10 at the door ($1 discount for Boys and Girls Club members) and includes lunch. Teens must have a valid ID and be accompanied by an adult; parents who wish to drop off their teen must sign a waiver at the time of entrance. Call 389-1487 or 389-9144.

 

'Comedy Crusade' comes to Waipahu

Augie Tulba's statewide “;Comedy Crusade”; tour arrives in Waipahu on Sunday when the stand-up comedian headlines a benefit show for Waipahu High School's athletic department at 7:30 p.m.

Tulba promises no foul language during the show, making it suitable for all ages. Tickets, priced at just $10, are also an affordable option for Leeward residents looking for quality weekend entertainment without having to drive into town. Jose Dynamite, Timmy Mattos and One Night Stand are also scheduled to perform during the evening. Call 528-9555.
