Celebrate Earth Hour in the dark tonight

In light of Earth Hour, millions are being asked to join a global effort to be in the dark and, in effect, turn off all nonessential lights.

Bishop Museum encourages solidarity by following suit from 8:30 to 9:30 tonight in hope of shedding light on the serious problem of climate change.

For more information about climate change, take in the “;Science on a Sphere”; exhibit at the museum where visitors can view a 6-foot globe to learn about global warming and calculate their carbon footprint.

Shows are provided at 2:30 p.m. daily in the J. Watumull Planetarium Lobby. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily.
