Summer work program open to youths

The city has launched a Summer Youth Employment Program for economically disadvantaged teens and young adults.

The program is open to individuals between ages 14 and 24 and will employ 650 people. Workers will earn minimum wage during the duration of the program, to be held for six weeks from June 15 to July 24.

Applications are available now through April 3. The deadline to submit applications is 4 p.m. April 6. For more information, call Donna Fautanu at 832-7818.
