Silver and black suits Samson Satele just fine.

The former Hawaii offensive lineman is looking forward to the new color scheme after the Miami Dolphins traded him to the Oakland Raiders.

“;I wouldn't mind getting back in a black jersey again,”; said Satele, who wore black during his career with the Warriors.

Satele started at center since joining the Dolphins in 2007 as a second-round draft pick, and Leo Goeas, Satele's agent, confirmed the deal which sends Satele to the Raiders for a sixth-round draft pick. The teams will also swap their picks in the fourth round of next month's draft.

The Dolphins signed former Raiders center Jake Grove earlier this month, raising the possibility of Satele moving to guard. Satele said he prefers to play center and got word of the impending trade on Friday.

“;I'm really excited,”; Satele said yesterday from Miami. “;I'm glad the Dolphins drafted me, but it's a business. They went in another direction, but it worked out good and I can't wait to get to Oakland and start fresh.

“;I have a lot of family in California. Everybody's happy and I just have to do my job now.”;

Satele said his timetable for reporting to the Raiders is “;ASAP,”; and he's now immersed in moving his family from South Florida to northern California.

Satele started every game his first two NFL seasons, experiencing a 1-15 season as a rookie then helping the Dolphins go 11-6 and reach the playoffs last season.

“;Coming in my rookie year I didn't know what to expect and to win only one game was hard,”; Satele said. “;But to be part of that turnaround was awesome.”;

Former Hawaii receiver Ashley Lelie played for the Raiders last year, but is an unrestricted free agent.

Satele gave Miami its money's worth

Samson Satele was the second center selected in the 2007 NFL Draft, but is easily the most experienced:
