RESTAURANT REPORT

Restaurants collect for UNICEF fund

You know how they bring you a glass of water for free at most restaurants? This week—World Water Week, today through Saturday—several restaurants will be asking for a donation of at least $1 for that water, to raise funds for UNICEF's nationwide Tap Project.

Participating restaurants: Mix Cafe, JJ Dolan's, Downtown @ the HiSAM, thirtyninehotel, Los Chaparros Mexican Restaurant, Hiroshi Eurasion Tapas, Vino, Big City Diner, Wahoo's Fish Taco Hawaii, Tango Contemporary Cafe, the Willows, Kakaako Kitchen, Pearl Ultralounge, the Wedding Cafe, Popeyes Hawaii, Duke's Canoe Club Waikiki, 3660 on the Rise, Dean's Drive Inn, Formaggio Grill and Kona Brewing Co.

The Tap Project is an initiative working to provide clean water to children around the world. For each dollar donated, UNICEF can provide 40 liters of drinking water, enough to provide for a child for 40 days.
