Catch spring fever at Waimea Valley

Enjoy a stroll through Waimea Valley with Botanical Collections Specialist David Orr as he highlights blooming plants and fruits along the way.

The walk, on the first and third Sundays of each month, is included with admission: $10 for adults and $5 for children 4 to 12 and seniors age 60 and above. Kamaaina and military pay $6; military children and seniors, $3. Hours are 2 to 3 p.m.

Follow your nose to rose show at Kahala

Everything will be coming up roses at Kahala Mall during the Honolulu Rose Society's free Spring Rose Exhibition March 21.

Experts will be on hand from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. to answer your rose-related questions. Stop by and vote in the “;Most Fragrant Rose”; contest.
